Lynae Tucker-Chellew

Lynae Tucker-Chellew is an associate attorney at Dornan Law Team whose breadth of experience in private, non-profit and government practice comes together to bring her clients holistic and goal-oriented legal representation.

In 2023, Lynae made Omaha home. Prior to moving to Nebraska, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University in Chicago where she found her passion for helping people who have experienced trauma. This passion led her to attend law school in her home state of South Dakota where she interned with the Sioux City Human Rights Commission evaluating discrimination claims predominately in the areas of pregnancy, sexuality and disability discrimination. After graduation, Lynae joined the northwest Iowa legal community as a Law Clerk for the judiciary working with 8 judges across 11 counties. Shortly thereafter, she gained experience as a city attorney before then being hired as the Deputy County Attorney for Jackson County, Minnesota.

Since moving to Omaha, Lynae has served domestic violence survivors and their families in multiple ways through local non-profits. Since joining Dornan Law Team, she has enjoyed being able to offer legal representation in a variety of practice areas while still finding time to offer pro bono consultations when time allows.

Working with Lynae means receiving legal services that are driven by the client’s goals and priorities and crafted to work within the confines of each specific case and the legal requirements impacting it. Lynae prides herself in combining her knowledge about trauma-informed communication strategies with how she serves clients with persistent advocacy and empathy to help her clients feel respected and valued.
